Say a lot of the or I not jokes. A lot of the humor in this show is not through dialogue. It's through, like, just little unspoken moments, like either gestures or just just visual moments that are that are funny, either kind of intentionally so or even Unintentionally, intentionally so. Mhmm. And, and, yeah, I was glued to this from like, I can't remember the last time that I watched 8 hours of television because they're all they're about an hour each. Some of them are a little less, but, I mean, I I can't remember the last time I watched 8 hours of television in, like, 5 days. It just it had me from from the jump. The the Brotherhood of Steel were really interesting to see. And and, like, I guess, how do you feel about the visually, Destiny? Like, the the before, because that's that's road I was gonna just go down. So let me kick it back to you here. What did you think about the look of the show? Because in the wrong hands, or the wrong or or too low of a budget. This could have looked, like, visually looked terrible. But it doesn't. It's great. It looks exactly like the games, basically. The vaults look right. The pit boys look right. The suits look correct. And I just kept finding myself looking at the screen and and, like, noticing, oh, they have bobble heads there. And that's for the Merv, weapon that you get in the game. Right? And it's just great that they had all of those things sprinkled throughout. We did a feature about all the little Easter eggs in there. And, I do like the power that the power armor has unlimited power, and you don't have to swap your cores like you do in 4. Maybe they'll introduce that with New Vegas, but I'm glad that mechanic was explained in the show. Look wise, I I think it's honestly, Ryan, I think this is like I said, one of the best video game adaptations, but you don't need to know the video game to enjoy it and understand why people love fallout so much. It

But I think the advantage that Microsoft could have or Xbox could have over these 3rd party handhelds is they're they're PC game pass. They're not the entire Xbox library. Whereas if it is truly running an Xbox OS and, you know, you have the hardware specs locked in that now I can access my entire Xbox library, not only my first party stuff that I find on PC, but also the 3rd party games that may I may not own on on on PC, but I do own them in my Xbox digital library. Plus the backwards compatibility standpoint of this when I think about the 3 60 era in the in those games that you would have access to. Now you have access to those on a handheld as well. So I see both sides. I could see Xbox completely leaning into to what you were talking about where it's like, let's just make on the Windows a Windows light. You can install that. You can install Steam. You can do everything. Or they could full on say, we're truly giving you an Xbox handheld that that gives you everything that we have in our ecosystem and not just a PC experience. I hear that. The full quote is we are moving full speed ahead on our next generation hardware focused on delivering the biggest technological leap ever in a generation. So when do you think the actual announcement about this new hardware comes and when do you think the handheld, if that's a thing, announcement hits? Paris. Oh, you asked me. So I've thought a lot about the handheld that if they were doing a handheld, it's it either needs to happen this holiday if we're talking this generation or you just wait till next gen, which I think the the rumors have been holiday 2026 because it wouldn't make sense to try and drop something in 2025. And then the very next year, you're going, oh, we're we're going next gen. Now that handheld would would be a generation behind. I think my personal opinion on this this holiday announce

But we have a couple of quick stories that we wanted to get across everybody in Xbox Land and and get some eyes and ears on it. The first one up is around one of our favorite games. I am sure you both are lovers of this game, Hollow Knight Silksong, getting teased again across the Internet as being real. I mean, look, we've seen this conversation happen before. We've seen the discussion about whether this game is real and when it's gonna drop. And it seems like we got a little bit more information around that this week. Destin, I wanted to start off with you. What are your thoughts about, you know, getting teased again around, Silksong? I mean, just to be clear, it is a real thing. They didn't announce for it, so it's it's real. Yeah. I am curious what's going on though because, it has been in development for a very long time, and it would be great to just just get a release date. April 1st is not the day to do that. No. Well, to okay. So to be fair, it wasn't an announcement. It was just people noticed that it was available on the Xbox or the Microsoft website. So, it was weird because it got, like, a listing, but nothing else about it was available. So everyone was, like, is this real? Like, is I don't know. Is it, like, this is a weird time to post it? And I don't know if people have been watching, like, any of our livestreams, but on every single IGN livestream, it's always, Hollow Knight silksong? Silksong? Silksong? Silksong? Anytime any showcase is live, it doesn't even matter what it is. Like, it could be something completely unrelated and just people will span that. So I I totally get that people are really excited for this game, but it's so funny how it's almost become, like, really mysterious and everything surrounding its launch is just shrouded with all these extra details. I think it's really fun because it winds up being those things of any nugget of information that kinda gets pulled into the system. People flood it, and they kinda go for it. Like, you know, people are like, oh my god. There's a ESRB rating on there. What does that

You think they're still just looking at this? Do you think they probably have solid plans that they're moving ahead with? Do you want this? Well, first, yes. I want this. I mean, I feel like, Phil, if you were listening from the dog park, like Ryan says you do every week, I'm so glad you heard my cries for help, that 1 week that I was talking about really wanting a handheld. I want it so bad. And I think it seem from the way that he's speaking about this, obviously, he's being very careful, but he's being so specific about what he wants. And I'm thinking, you know, if the boss, Phil, wants something, he's probably gonna get it. Right? So for me, I think he also wants it enough to make it a reality. I think it's going to be a thing. Probably not maybe not this year, maybe not next year, but I feel like in the next maybe 3, 4 years, it may be a thing, in which case I am so ready for it because I I love the Steam Deck, and it was actually great for when I was flying to go to one of her friend's weddings, and it was fantastic. Right? And I could use the Xbox controller on it, but it made me really want an actual Xbox device to play some of my Xbox games with. Because, like, I mean, come on. I buy Game Pass and I have so many games on that. I would have access to way more titles that could be optimized for a specific device that is hand that handles specifically Xbox games instead of being like, oh, well, this game isn't super Steam Deck Verified, but you can try to play it. You know, I want a device that is, like, solely for Xbox. That'll work with my Xbox controller too. So pretty much want it. I think Phil wants it too. So I think it's gonna happen just not, like, right away. Yeah. He he seems to have put a lot of thought into it. Right? Which is probably a good sign that if it were a thing where if where it was just like, yeah. Maybe we'd do that. But, no, it was, oh, yeah. Well, it would need to do this, this, this, and this. Like, they've had meetings about this, haven't they? I think they probably have. What by the way, which do either of you know which, which device, which handheld PC we were just looking at footage of there? That was definitely not a scene there. As well as

The fast cars that look like that. I don't know all the different types of cars, but I'm very interested to check out f one, because I've heard I hope this is the one that was good because I have heard code masters, which, you know, EA bought, so it's under the EA label. But, yes, you know, code masters does good stuff on the racing front. Yeah. So kind of interested in checking that out a little bit more, excited also to see the next game you're gonna talk about. Yeah. Diablo 4. That's the last one. That's the the biggest thing on the list here in terms of, just name recognition and big blockbuster game status. Mhmm. This Diablo 4, as as everybody that's listened to this podcast for any length of time knows, was was my game of the year for most of last year after it came out. I'm such a Diablo fan, and and I think I think 4 is the best Diablo with the possible exception of Diablo 2. 2. 2 is the best one. Yeah. I mean You're incorrect. Sorry, Ryan. No. I I I didn't say definitively. I Okay. Okay. Because I'm with you. I mean, Diablo 2 has has always been in my personal top ten, maybe even top 5 games of all time list. Just my own personal list and Resurrected. Really good. Resurrected also had a bumpy start, but it is a very, very good Diablo remake. So if you haven't played 2, play Diablo 2 resurrected. Agreed. Yeah. Super I mean, hopefully, we get that in game pass at some point as as, Microsoft continues to integrate all of the Activision Blizzard King stuff in to the portfolio proper. Yeah. But for now, yeah, you have to that is just a regular regular game you pay money for outside of a subscription. But, yeah, Diablo 4. So console and PC, for your Game Pass sub. And so that's coming on March 28th, which is 1 week from when this podcast publishes. And I how much time did you did you put end up putting a lot of time into the final version?
